Truro City boss Paul Wotton says his side were punished for poor defending as they lost 3-2 at Farnborough.

Aaron Kuhl's 26th-minute penalty gave the hosts the lead, but Ed Palmer levelled six minutes before the break.

Ricky Holmes put Farnborough 2-1 up after 70 minutes before Adam Porter equalised five minutes later, only for Hady Ghandour to net an 89th-minute winner for Farnborough.

The loss sees Truro slip to 19th place in National League South.

"To score two goals away from home, you shouldn't be losing the game," Wotton told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We've got to get back to being hard to beat.

"There were loads of positives, we played really good football at times, we had three cleared off the line.

"But Farnborough are what they are, the ball's coming in the box relentlessly for 96, 97 minutes.

"For a long time we defended it well, but on three occasions we didn't and we got punished."
