Jersey Bulls manager Gary Freeman has criticised his side following their 1-1 draw with Camberley Town.

Bulls struggled at times against mid-table opponents as they failed to win a fifth home game out of six.

They remain third in Combined Counties Premier South ahead of a trip to leaders Farnham Town on Tuesday.

"We talk about levels of performance and where we want to be at, and there was too many of us sitting on a four or five out of 10," Freeman said.

"That is never going to be enough to wins games of football."

Having gone a goal down after a defensive error in first-half stoppage time, Miguel Carvalho's excellent long-range strike brought the islanders level, but they failed to kick on.

"It was more about raising the quality a little bit and I felt we did come out in the second half and start brightly and score after 10 or 15 minutes and Miguel looked lively and we didn't quite capitalise on that and push through with it," Freeman told BBC Radio Jersey

"We had a couple of half chances as the game went on, but nowhere near enough."

Bulls were missing key players, with top scorer Lorne Bickley only fit enough for a place on the bench after suffering a cut above his eye last week.

Experienced defenders centre-backs Luke Campbell and James Queree were also absent, as were Adam Trotter and Kamen Nafkha, and all four will also be unavailable for the trip to runaway leaders Farnham.

Jersey's hosts have won all 23 of their games and have a 12-point lead at the top of the table, and they are a further five points clear of the Bulls.

"It's an opportunity for people to put their hands up and show they want to fight for that shirt, because there's some experience coming back soon and we need to be winning these games of football," added Freeman.

"If we want to finish in the top two, three, four - where we want to be - we've got to be winning these games and there's a few more to go this season yet, so plenty of chances to still bounce back, but we've got to make sure we do it very quickly."
