Truro City ended a seven-game winless run as they beat Taunton Town in their 'home' game at Gloucester City.

Tom Harrison's early tap-in put Truro ahead after Tyler Harvey's free-kick was saved.

Conor Riley-Lowe and Ben Adelsbury were also denied by Town keeper Dan Lavercombe and Harvey hit the post.

Ed Palmer forced another good save before he doubled the lead with a header from a 62nd-minute corner.

Taunton's Ross Stearn had a penalty kick saved by James Hamon soon after.

Truro were forced to move the game to Gloucester due to a poor playing surface at their temporary home.

The National League South side recently moved from playing games at Plymouth Parkway to Taunton after a series of postponements due to wet weather.

"First half anyone would agree we should have gone in four or five-nil up," Truro manager Paul Wotton told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"I thought we were exhilarating first half really, I know second half they would come and have a go at us, which they did.

"But we kept a really good shape, Hammy saves the penalty and they missed a sitter, but on Tuesday night that would have gone in.

"Your luck changes in football, I'm not saying we were lucky today, far from it, but overall I thought it was pretty professional."
