Guernsey FC boss Tony Vance says his side must aim to pull away from the relegation zone after their upturn in form in Isthmian League South Central.

A second away victory of the season saw them beat Ashford Town 3-1 on Saturday as they got their third win in their last four games to stay in 16th place.

Had they not conceded two late goals to lose 3-2 to Raynes Park Vale last month they would be fifth in the form guide.

"These results have been coming from November," Vance told BBC Guernsey.

"Performance-wise we have been good, we just haven't had the results for various reasons and now we're picking up results as well as performances.

"We're still in the bottom section, and when you're there you deserve to be, so we've got to get out of that.

"I just look at it now as I know there's a target of points I want to get to when I know that we'll be safe to feel safe.

"We've still got a bit of a way to go yet, so we won't be patting ourselves on the back just yet."
