Here are details of all the county signings and departures from the 2024 season.

Counties have been permitted to field two overseas players in all competitions since 2021.

Players who moved counties or retired during the 2023 season are included on the 2023 list. A list of players who were unavailable for the One-Day Cup as they had been selected for The Hundred can be found here. Not included are players signed on short-term arrangements purely for non-competitive friendly matches.

Former Northamptonshire player Toby Bailey joined as a coach until the T20 World Cup in June.

They have been replaced by Robbie Joseph, who joins from Gloucestershire, and Toby Radford respectively. Second XI coach Mark Dekker will lead the side during the One-Day Cup, while Matt Walker is away at The Hundred.

Club captain Sam Billings has stepped down, having already relinquished the Championship and One-Day Cup leadership in 2023, but will continue as T20 skipper. Daniel Bell-Drummond succeeds Jack Leaning as Championship captain with Leaning named as vice-captain, but will also skipper the One-Day Cup side in succession to Joe Denly.
